MICROshading

  • Uses a handheld tool with a thin blade at the end to gently create hair-like strokes throughout the entire brow and is accompanied by soft, pixelated shading from the brow tail to head using a shading machine with a single needle at the end. This technique is great for normal to dry skin

  • Uses a shading machine with a single needle at the end to create pixelated shading that’s darker from the tail, in throughout the body and gradually lightens into the head of the brow. This technique is great for all skin types and especially those wanting a more filled in, powder look

  • Uses a handheld tool with a thin blade at the end to gently create hair-like strokes only at the head of the brow and is accompanied by pixelated shading from 3/4 of the body of the brow to the tail using a shading machine with a single needle at the end. • How do I prepare for my appointment?

    • Discontinue Acutane and Retinol use for at least 72 hours before your procedure

    • Discontinue the use of waterproof mascara at least 1 week prior to your procedure

    • Come to your appointment with thoroughly clean lashes (the cleaner the lashes the better the results)

    • Do not curl or apply creams/lotions to your lashes on the day of your appointment

    • If you wear contacts, make sure you remove them before your appointment and bring glasses to wear instead

    • Be prepared to stay for at least 2 hours

How do I care for my lashes and brows after treatment?

    • Avoid washing your lashes or brows for at least 12 hours after your treatment as water has a high PH level that can affect the treatment. Instead gently cleanse your face with a washcloth while taking care to bypass your lashes and brows

    • Avoid using lash curlers as it can damage the lashes and compromise the quality of the lift

    • Avoid waterproof mascara as it contains drying ingredients that can harm the lashes

    • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and sweating for 24 hours

    • Use a gentle, low acidic (PH stable) cleanser

    • Pick up a Peptide serum for added strength and growth

  • • Immediately after the procedure, some clients may experience swelling, redness, and tenderness similar to a sunburn, followed by dry and itchy skin. Covering an ice pack with fresh paper towel and placing near the brow area may help to alleviate some discomfort.

    • The first 3-6 days after the procedure, your brows will appear darker, larger and more defined.

    • The full healing process takes 4-6 weeks, but visible healing is 10-14 days post treatment. During healing the colour will change from bold, to disappearing and reappearing as they settle.

    • The colour or strokes may flake off, lighten and appear less visible, then begin to slowly regenerate and reappear over the coming weeks. They will lighten 30-40% and shrink in size as they settle.

    • The above notes are all completely normal, and why two or more sessions may be necessary. It’s important to trust the process and not deviate from the recommended instructions

Excessive and prolonged redness, swelling, tenderness, thick oozing of body fluid at the procedure site, elevated body temperature, and red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart are not normal and could be signs of adverse reaction or infection. Contact your personal health care provider immediately for treatment and email hello@archandpoint.com to advise of what is happening.

  • MICROBLADING

Wash 3 times a day (morning, mid day, before bed) for 2-5 days

    MICROSHADING

Wash 4 times a day (morning, 2 mid day spaced 2-3 hours apart, before bed) for 2-5 days

    • 1-2 hours following your procedure lightly wash your brows in small circular motions using lukewarm water and a gentle skin cleanser such as Cetaphil or Cerave. Avoid using cleansers that contain oils, charcoals, or acids, as well as bar soaps or micellar water.

    • Pat brows dry with a soft tissue or paper towel after each wash, steering clear of the use of face/body towels to avoid bacteria transfer.

    • Apply a rice grain size amount (between both brows not each) of the provided aftercare cream with a qtip (never use your fingers). Remember, it’s just a thin layer; you don’t want to suffocate your brows with too much product.

    • Day 2-5 upon waking, gently pat your eyebrows with tissue to see if they are moist. If the tissue is clean and has no colour or body fluid on it and your eyebrows look matte, stop washing and applying aftercare cream and begin your dry healing. You want your brows to look matte/dry when you start this stage.

    • During the dry healing phase you can still shower and wash your face, but avoid direct water from the shower head onto your eyebrows. You can wash your lower face normally, but you should only use a washcloth to gently spot clean your forehead and eye area. Keep paper towel on hand while in the shower to gently pat your eyebrows dry if they get wet.

    • Allow the brows to flake (or not) and go through it’s natural healing process without disruption

    • 10-14 days post treatment (when flaking stops) is when you can resume regular activity such as washing your face, showering, exercise, etc.

  • • Always wash your hands before touching your eyebrows

    • Wash your pillowcases or place a clean towel/paper towel on your pillowcase each night to avoid bacteria transfer

    • Do not let water soak on the brow/forehead area for 10-14 days following the procedure. Lightly pat dry after each wash in the first 4 days

    • Sleep on your back to avoid colour loss for the first 7-10 days following procedure

  • DO NOT scratch, rub or pick at brows during the healing process
    (10-14 days)

    • Avoid makeup for 2 weeks following the procedure. If you can’t, apply everywhere except around the eyebrow area. You can lightly fill in your eyebrows once you have completed the initial healing process to help fill in any gaps you may have.

    • Avoid swimming, steam baths, saunas, jacuzzis for 10-14 days following the procedure.

    • Avoid exercise, increased sweating and strenuous activity for 10-14 days following procedure. Light walks are fine.

    • Avoid exfoliants, chemical peels, laser, microneedling, microdermabrasion, and facials for 10-14 days following your procedure. Always let your aesthetician or skin care specialist know you’ve had permanent makeup and to avoid your brow area.

    • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds. UVA and UVB can cause discolouration and premature fading. Wear large sunglasses, hats or stay under shade. Sunscreen can be applied around the eyebrows right away. Wait 5-6 weeks post procedure before applying it directly onto the eyebrows to protect your skin and tattoo.

    • Keep bangs, hats and glasses off of the eyebrow area for 10-14 days following the procedure. For glasses, clean the perimeter with an alcohol wipe and let dry before wearing to avoid bacteria transfer.

    • Avoid exfoliating or skin lightening products such as Retin-A, retinol, vitamin a, alpha and beta hydroxy acids on the forehead area indefinitely, or for as long as you want to maintain your brows.

    • Avoid using facial oils (even natural ones) on the forehead area as it may result in blurred strokes over time.
